Socially distanced petanque
In addition to hand hygiene practices recommended by government health authorities, we have adopted the following petanque-specific practices:
- Do not touch each otherís boules or other equipment (including rings and scorers), water bottle, plates, cups, etc.
- Draw a ring rather than using a plastic one. (If a ring is used, only one person should pick it up.)
- Each team has its own jack and only one player in the team touches that jack. The team that wins the end throws their own jack and picks its up after that end.
We have also stopped the practice of members writing their own names on the playing board.
